Turecký fotograf Ugur Gallenkush sa už niekoľko rokov zaoberá zaujímavým projektom. Zbiera kontrastné fotografie do koláží, ktoré ukazujú, aké veľké sú rozdiely medzi prosperujúcimi krajinami a regiónmi nachádzajúce sa v zóne neustáleho konfliktu.
Sám Ugur, turecký fotograf, rád cituje slová zakladateľa moderného Turecka Mustafu Kemala Ataturka: “Pokojom domova je mier sveta.” Je si istý, že niekedy môže obraz urobiť živší dojem ako tisíc slov. Deti by mali by kdekoľvek na vete spokojné zo svojimi životmi a dospelí by mali chápať dôležitosť udržiavania mieru.

Today World Refugee Day. There are 71 million refugees worldwide according to the United Nations. 71 million people away from homeland because of war, hunger, oppression and instability. The solution of some of these problems is in our hands. Fleeing is not a permanent solution for refugees, but sometimes it is the only option for survival. I believe we can solve this problem. It is possible to create a more livable world with empathy, love, justice, art, science and education. This way crises can be avoided. In this way we can eliminate and stop the causal factors. As long as there is bigotry, ignorance and greed, these problems will always continue. You may not be a refugee today. But you never know what tomorrow brings. (TR) Bugün Dünya mülteci günü.
